5) that Cork is the most sustainable material, the trees are required to be harvested to prolong it's life, so no trees are harmed or cut down to source this precious material, only a handful of tradesmen can do this every year in the hottest months starting in May to end of August.  Harvesting the trees is an environmentally friendly process.
