The past month, the exams have been sucking the life out of me. I’m so happy it’s finally over! I slept for 3 days and I feel more alive than ever before. 2016 is going to be my year, you guys! For real, I can’t wait to tell you guys what I’ve been planning to do this year, but first let me start about my bag from Rok Cork.

As you may have seen on my snapchat, I’m obsessed with watching fashion shows and figuring out what the trends for next season are going to be. Apart from that, I’m also attending numerous press days in Belgium where I’m able to see next season’s collections of Belgian and International brands, which also gives me a pretty good look at what’s going to be hot or not next season. One HUGE trend I saw at both the runway collections and the normal retail collections was CORK. It seems like the fashion industry is finally discovering cork as a cheap, solid, eco-friendly material to use in its designs.
For those who were watching the Chanel Haute Couture show this morning, some of the dresses actually had cork in them and the shoes were all made of cork. I think we can call it a trend when even Karl is doing it, right?

As far as I know, Rok Cork was one of the first brands to totally embrace this new technique. They’re already quite known in Canada and the U.S., but I wouldn’t be too suprised if they’d conquer Europe pretty soon, too.
The bag/briefcase I have is, obviously, from Rok Cork. At first I was a little doubtful about a bag made out of cork, but I was totally wrong. The bag is not heavy at all because it’s made of cork, but the cork also makes the bag surprisingly solid and rain resistant. I use my Rok Cork bag all the time for carrying my laptop to school. It fits perfectly and is just easy to carry around.

Jeffrey Calant and I shot this after I did my last exam – which was a national disaster btw. I studied ’till 3 in the morning and had to wake up at 6. Let’s say I was in serious need of a pair of sunglasses to cover up the bags under my eyes. Ray Ban got me covered for that. I was wearing my new gorgeous bomber jacket from zalando -I adore that shade of green!-, a white T-shirt from Topshop, S. Oliver trousers and my Woden sneakers – which are also made out of cork btw. Of course, I was also wearing my Frédérique Constant watch.

Have a look at the pictures Jeffrey and I made below for a better look at the marvelous Rok Cork bag. Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more ?
